Tenet

The sci-fi action movie Tenet, directed by Christopher Nolan, tackles the twisted values of artworks and the intrigues swirling in the backstage, using the art market as a crime scene. The protagonist, John David Washington plays a CIA agent. Armed with only one word – Tenet – and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real-time. The plot develops, and events get complicated when the Russian arms dealer and art collector Andrei Sator learns that he bought a fake painting of famous painter Francis Goya from his ex-wife for $ 9 million. The fact that the works of art are sold at exorbitant prices without paying taxes reveals the purposes for which the current art market and the high amounts of investments invested in the works are used.
