Taking the audience to the renowned auction houses in Europe and make them observe the auctions where works are sold at very high prices, the film tells the story of Virgil Oldman (Geoffrey Rush), a highly successful, recognized and respected art expert. When a mysterious woman named Claire Ibbetson (Sylvia Hoeks) wants to sell the art and antique collection left by her family in an auction and she calls Oldman, and the film turns into another direction. Their colleagueship for the auction business ends up with an interesting and puzzling story. Directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, the film impresses the audience with its affluent visuals and music as well as acting.
