Chris Burden is a performance artist who ’crosses the boundaries’ during the 70s. The documentary is about Burden’s life and art practice which revised by artists’ friends, art critics, and by the intimate interviews where the artist expresses himself. The documentary shows Chris Burden’s art perspective and how this perspective has evolved in time. He is known by ‘the man who made himself shot’ by one of his well known and most discussed performances, in the film we observe how he changed his direction in the art field. He gave up to make performance art and starts to produce enormous sculptures and installations. We witness how his unsettling and disturbing art attitude has changed to a visually pleasurable and affluent direction.
