This 2012 documentary which was directed by American film maker Alison Klayman is about one of the leading international artists, Ai Weiwei. It won Jury Special Award in 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The documentary starts with the meeting of Alison and Ai in 2011 when Alison was working in China. Alison tells the story of artist’s conflict with the government and making of his extraordinary art with a realistic eye. Through interviews made with artist’s friends, mother and first gallery owner in New York, the documentary draws a detailed portrait of the artist, which touches on every detail of his life.
