User’s Manual: Contemporary Art in Turkey, 1975-2015

Published by art-ist with the support of Saha and edited by Halil Altındere and Süreyya Evren, User’s Manual is one of Turkey’s most comprehensive contemporary art anthologies. It examines our contemporary art history through an extensive group of artists ranging from Kutluğ Ataman to Volkan Aslan, from Şükran Moral to Ali Kazma, from Neriman Polat to İpek Duben. The book begins with essays on art in Turkey by prominent names including Beral Madra, Vasıf Kortun, Fulya Erdemci, Derya Yücel, Ahu Antmen, Marcus Graf and Osman Erden, and it continues with artwork selections from the artists. It is prepared in Turkish and English as one of the most important publications of 2015 in the field.
