The Picasso Sculpture exhibition at MoMA running until February 7, 2016, is an audience hit. It focuses on more than 100 three-dimensional works the artist produced throughout his life, and it examines them from the perspective of material and creative processes.
The book published by MoMA in parallel with the selection divided into chapters in accordance with specific periods in which Picasso devoted him to sculpture is a unique source. Edited by Ann Temkin and with texts by Luise Mahler and Virginie Perdrisot, the book immortalizes the selection, which is the biggest Picasso retrospective in the USA since MoMA’s historic show in 1967. The book opens with the curators’ introductory text, followed by a visually rich body and closes with a final list of all the exhibitions about Picasso’s sculpture works.
