Based on real life story of Camille Claudel, the movie narrates the torrid relationship between Claudel and Auguste Rodin. After Auguste Rodin left Claudel and ended their relationship which started in winter of 1885, Claudel was sent to an asylum in Southern France by her family. Living in the shadow of Rodin during her relationship, she holds on to life with her sculptures. She stays in asylum for 30 years and waits for her brother Paul’s visit. With Isabelle Adjani and Gerard Depardieu’s unforgettable performances, this movie makes the viewers perceive art and gender roles in a different way.
