This approach redefines miart\u2019s identity, positioning the fair as a dynamic and evolving platform.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking place from 17 to 19 April 2026, miart marks this milestone by honouring its history while opening up to new horizons. Curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini, the section brings together 29 international galleries presenting 26 projects that engage with themes such as identity, memory, the body, social structures and climate change. Across painting, sculpture, textiles, video and photography \u2014 with a strong presence of women artists \u2014 the section foregrounds new voices and site-specific practices conceived especially for the fair. Ferda Art Platform \u00a0Istanbul and Merk\u00fcr from Istanbul are participating in this section.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><span class=\"s13\">The historic core of the fair, <\/span><strong><span class=\"s14\">Established<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s11\">,<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> is located on Level 0 of the South Wing and features 111 galleries. Here, modern masters are placed in dialogue with contemporary practices, alongside projects related to collectible and authorial design. Through thematic exhibitions, monographic focuses and curated juxtapositions, the section explores cycles, metamorphosis and possible futures, reinforcing miart\u2019s vision of art history as a non-linear field shaped by returns, reinterpretations and new trajectories.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><span class=\"s13\">Completing this framework, <\/span><strong><span class=\"s14\">Movements<\/span><\/strong> <span class=\"s13\">marks a new addition to miart 2026. Developed in collaboration with the St. Moritz Art Film Festival and curated by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, the project presents a selection of artist films and video works, expanding the fair\u2019s curatorial scope and introducing the language of the moving image into its programme.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exhibitions and Special Projects: The Sound of the City<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>During miart week, Milan unfolds as a landscape shaped by sound, rhythm and resonance, where exhibitions and performances extend the fair\u2019s curatorial theme into the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><strong><span class=\"s11\">At Gallerie d\u2019Italia<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s13\">, <\/span><span class=\"s21\">Ryman\/Schifano: Standard\/Variations<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> transforms painting into a \u201clistening space,\u201d where minimal gestures and subtle variations sharpen perception. The exhibition frames viewing as an experience akin to listening to live jazz.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><strong><span class=\"s11\">At Triennale Milano<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s13\">, <\/span><span class=\"s21\">The Rhythm of the Eye<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> presents Don Bronstein\u2019s photographs of the 1950s\u201360s jazz scene in Europe for the first time. Featuring figures such as Miles Davis, the exhibition turns documentation into a sensory visual language.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><span class=\"s11\"><strong>At PAC \u2013 Padiglione d\u2019Arte Contemporanea<\/strong>,<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> Marco Fusinato\u2019s <\/span><span class=\"s21\">The only true anarchy is that of power<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> brings together a selection of recent works. The exhibition immerses viewers in a high-intensity audiovisual environment that challenges perception.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><strong><span class=\"s11\">At Pirelli HangarBicocca<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s13\">, Rirkrit Tiravanija\u2019s <\/span><span class=\"s21\">The House That Jack Built<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> explores spatial practice through a performative exhibition format. Also at Pirelli HangarBicocca, Benni Bosetto\u2019s <\/span><span class=\"s21\">Rebecca<\/span><span class=\"s13\"> unfolds through a programme of live performances. Through music, movement and voice, the exhibition continuously reactivates its narrative across space and time.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><p class=\"s12\"><strong><span class=\"s11\">At Fondazione Prada<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s13\">, Cinema Godard continues its film programme during miart week.
