{"id":58542,"date":"2021-12-29T13:06:43","date_gmt":"2021-12-29T10:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/art50art.gurudesk.dev\/?p=58542"},"modified":"2022-03-08T17:26:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T14:26:36","slug":"a-winters-tale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/art50.net\/en\/a-winters-tale\/","title":{"rendered":"A Winter\u2019s Tale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Between 28 December 2021 and 27 April 2022, works by Cem Onat, Filiz Piyale Onat ve L\u00fctfiye K\u00f6sten come together at the exhibition \u201cA Winter\u2019s Tale\u201d thanks to the joint efforts of Art50.net and Swiss\u00f4tel The Bosphorus, \u0130stanbul.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A cold winter night\u2026 Snowflakes dancing outside\u2026 The peaceful warmth of the fire merrily crackling in the fireplace, and the delicious smell of the slowly brewing coffee\u2026 There are some tales told by the family elderly during such times, with heroes travelling to faraway places, overcoming tough natural conditions and discovering new lands\u2026 These pass on from generation to generation, bringing people closer together and filling them with hopes for the future.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59229\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59229\" style=\"width: 743px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-59229\" src=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/swiss_filiz-piyale2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"743\" height=\"519\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59229\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Filiz Piyale Onat \u2013 Tarantino\u2019s Mindscape &amp; Hitchcock\u2019s Mindscape<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cA Winter\u2019s Tale\u201d features a series of artworks reminiscent of this atmosphere in different ways. <a href=\"\/?product_brand=filiz-piyale-onat-en\">Filiz Piyale Onat<\/a>\u2019s landscapes contain mysterious hints on the hero\u2019s identity and journey. These details suddenly appearing in the midst of emptiness add an element of inner tension to the paintings the artist creates based on the concept of \u201cmindscapes\u201d. In <a href=\"\/?product_brand=lutfiye-kosten-en\">L\u00fctfiye K\u00f6sten<\/a>\u2019s paintings, the figure takes center stage and waits almost impatiently to tell her story. Especially the determination finding expression in her eyes is a sign that she will proceed in her own journey despite everything.
