With their common ideal of supporting young artists, Casa dell\u2019Arte and Art50.net embark on a new joint mission. The exhibition \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream\u201d inspired by William Shakespeare\u2019s work and featuring art50.net artists will be on view at Bodrum Casa dell\u2019Arte Gallery from May 25 to July 2.<\/p>\n

A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream, William Shakespeare\u2019s 400-year-old masterpiece is a poetic love story taking place in a forest under the moonlight, inspired by the popular fairy tales of its time. The exhibition based on this Shakespearean atmosphere inviting the viewer to take a fantastic journey with a summer breeze, features works by Mehmet \u00c7evik<\/a>, G\u00f6rkem Dikel<\/a>, Merve D\u00fcndar<\/a>, \u0130dil G\u00fcral<\/a>, Beg\u00fcm M\u00fctevellio\u011flu<\/a>, Azime Sar\u0131toprak<\/a>, Saliha Y\u0131lmaz<\/a> and Baysan Y\u00fcksel<\/a> from art50.net.<\/p>\n

In their fairy tale-like works each with their authentic stylistic languages, G\u00f6rkem Dikel, Azime Sar\u0131toprak and Baysan Y\u00fcksel draw inspiration from iconology, traditions, myths, rituals and personal memoires. Merve D\u00fcndar\u2019s oeuvre questions the relationship between privacy and \u2018existence\u2019 through the gaze of the other. In their abstract and colorful paintings, Mehmet \u00c7evik and \u0130dil G\u00fcral directly transfer their worlds of imagination onto the canvas. Beg\u00fcm M\u00fctevellio\u011flu, on the other hand, transforms four-walled rooms into outdoor spaces opening into strange landscapes and gardens, and filled with memories, thoughts and dreams everyone has access to.<\/p>\n
