Built in 2014 by Kime Sekkei, this tall white building was easily distinguishable from surrounding brown buildings, however its aim was not. The building project of the structure sparked a lot of interest amongst locals and art circles.\u00a0 The structure led to many speculations and a wave of wonder. Then suddenly, a new website for the Museum was created, and announced the opening of the building to the public as Yayoi Kusama Museum in October 2017.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7164\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7164\" style=\"width: 675px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7164\" src=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/pumpkin-1.jpg\" alt=\"Starry Pumpkin\u201d (2015) by Yayoi Kusama. It presents and offers the visitors a magical world made of neon colors, dots and lines. The museum\u2019s first floor holds the gift shop and entrance, the second and third floors display a range of Kusama\u2019s artworks, while the fourth floor houses environmental installations that are instagram-lovers\u2019 favorite . In addition to Kusama\u2019s artworks, the Museum will also host temporary exhibitions which will change twice a year. Other new works by Yayoi Kusama will also be on display. In addition to the sixteen works from \u201cMy Eternal Soul\u201d, the series entitled \u201cLove Forever\u201d will be presented, a collection of black and white drawings that formed the precursor to Kusama\u2019s latest series.
