Art Gallery hosts works by the artists of the contemporary art platform\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Art50.net<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the 4th exhibition of its 2016-2017 season, <strong>\u0130stanbul K\u00fclt\u00fcr University Art Gallery (\u0130K\u00dcSAG)<\/strong> hosts works by the artists of <strong>Art50.net<\/strong>, a contemporary art platform bringing together artists, collectors and all art enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition titled <strong>\u201cReflections\u201d <\/strong>curated by \u0130pek Ye\u011fins\u00fc will be inaugurated on February 08 2017, Wednesday at 3 pm with a cocktail held at <strong>\u0130stanbul K\u00fclt\u00fcr University <\/strong>Atak\u00f6y campus and will be on view until <strong>March 1st<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition that will feature works in various contemporary artistic techniques by Asl\u0131 Aydemir, Asl\u0131 Din\u00e7, Ayna, Ay\u015feg\u00fcl Karaka\u015f, Deniz Y\u0131lmazlar | Karbon, Eda Emirda\u011f, Genco G\u00fclan, Saliha Y\u0131lmaz and Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m \u0130nce will underline the thinking \/ reflecting dynamics in the artistic process that are loaded with tension and inseparable from each other, emerging in the space between the artist\u2019s universe of thoughts and his reactions to the external world.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition features Asl\u0131 Aydemir\u2019s sculpture series paying homage to kitsch porcelain figures, Asl\u0131 Din\u00e7\u2019s paintings placing the individual within the outer space, Ayna\u2019s lightboxes saluting the male icons of Turkish cinema, a piece from Ay\u015feg\u00fcl Karaka\u015f\u2019s \u201cRelocation\u201d series leaving the figure alone in a sinister natural setting, Karbon\u2019s photocollage works elaborating on subjects like the past, the memory and death, Eda Emirda\u011f\u2019s photographs of figures placed in a meditative and vague atmosphere and filled with open-ended stories, Genco G\u00fclan\u2019s sculpture approaching popular culture with irony, Saliha Y\u0131lmaz\u2019s urban characters experiencing identity crisis and Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m \u0130nce\u2019s metropolitan mythologies.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will be on view between February 8\u00a0and March 1\u00a0at \u0130K\u00dcSAG, from 9\u00a0am to 6 pm every day except for weekends.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00fclt\u00fcr
