Curated by Hasan B\u00fclent Kahraman the exhibition features fifty four works by the artist. As a strong influence on the art scene of her lifetime, the selection\u00a0 is based on her artistic persona, her attitude towards the concept of memory and her approach to gender.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>\u201cZero: Countdown to the Future\u201d, September 2-January 10, Sak\u0131p Sabanc\u0131 Museum, Emirgan:<\/strong><\/strong>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3458\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3458\" style=\"width: 192px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/zero-152x152.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3458 \" src=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/zero-152x152.jpg\" alt=\"zero-152x152\" width=\"192\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3458\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sak\u0131p Sabanc\u0131 Museum | Zero. Countdown to the Future<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The event organized by S.\u00dc. Sak\u0131p Sabanc\u0131 Museum and Akbank Sanat is very ambitious. The exhibition introducing the ZERO art movement, one of the leading artistic networks of the 20th century to the Istanbul audience brings together works by the movement\u2019s leading figures and their inspiring predecessors under the curatorship of Mattijs Visser, the Founding Director of ZERO foundation. The exhibition\u2019s layout is shaped around the movement\u2019s main themes such as \u201cTime\u201d, Space\u201d, \u201cStructure\u201d, \u201cLight\u201d, \u201cFire\u201d, \u201cColor\u201d, \u201cShadow\u201d and \u201cVibration\u201d, accompanied by various side events including symposia, conferences and film screenings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Server Demirta\u015f, &#8221;Machines from Bygone Times&#8221;, September 3-October 17, Bozlu Art Project, Te\u015fvikiye: <\/strong>Widely recognized with his video art in 2000s, Demirta\u015f is better known with his kinetic sculpture since 2010. Under the curatorship of \u00d6zlem \u0130nay Erten, the exhibition features Demirta\u015f\u2019s latest kinetic sculpture pieces. The exhibition offering a glimpse into the Bosnian \u2013Herzegovinian contemporary art as well as of the young population\u2019s attitude towards their country\u2019s history and social issues is curated by Prof. Aida Abadzic Hodzic from Sarajevo University Department of Philosopy. On the other hand, the museum\u2019s film department presents a different platform of visibility for emerging artists. Departing from a quote by the famous Italian critique Pier Paolo Pasolini, Riniolo underlines the deidentificating power of religion and capitalism, tracing the concept of the \u201cinvisible hand\u201d dominating the society.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cImagination and Orchestration\u201d, September 5-20, Bauart Gallery, Galata: <\/strong>Were you aware that there are various artist residency programmes in Istanbul, especially organized by the consulates and cultural centers of foreign countries? The exhibition titled \u201cImagination and Orhcestration is designed as a side event of the 14th Istanbul Biennial and introduces the structure of the residency programs for foreign artists as well as the works created by the resident artists. Participating artists: Marianna Christofides (Cologne), Angela Fensch (Berlin), Matthias Grotevent (D\u00fcsseldorf), Nicole Hoesli (Zurich), Franziska Klotz &amp; Michael Wutz (Berlin), Julia Lazarus (Berlin), G.R.A.M. Curated by the prominent new media art specialist Christiane Paul, \u201cWhat Lies Beneath\u201d features installations by Krzysztof Wodiczko, Michal Rovner and Zimoun reflecting the atmosphere of insecurity and estrangement in today\u2019s world. On the other hand, \u201cDesire\u201d curated by Necmi S\u00f6nmez will offer a new interpretation to the works in the Borusan collection by artists such as Rick Silva, Lale Deliba\u015f, Martin Walde and Ola Kolehmainen through literary works including poetry and anecdotes.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>\u201cTarlaba\u015f\u0131 Contemporary\u201d, September 5-13, Pasaj Tarlaba\u015f\u0131:<\/strong><\/strong>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3464\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3464\" style=\"width: 278px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Tarlabasi-contemporary.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3464\" src=\"https:\/\/art50.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Tarlabasi-contemporary.jpg\" alt=\"Tarlabasi contemporary\" width=\"278\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3464\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pasaj | Tarlaba\u015f\u0131 Contemporary<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The exhibition is organized with the support of the Swedish Institute and features the documentation of the work by the artistic duo Local A. (Jenny Berntsson &amp; Felice Hapetzeder), realized in collaboration with the Tarlaba\u015f\u0131 Community Center. Via results from various workshops and meetings with the local children and residents it aims at offering a new approach to Tarlaba\u015f\u0131\u2019s sociocultural texture composed of a diverse range of immigrants.
